stock shaft log

Any one know the size of the stock hose on the packing gland, i havent had a chance to really measure it, i know its either 2 3/8 or 2 1/2
while i am doing the tank probably going to install the pss seals

Mine were 2 3/8" Mat, before I did PSS. No drippage, they're great but cost some dough though.

Ya i know they are expensive, and really i guess there isnt all that much trouble from the others but i am going to bight the bullet and do it. Thanks!
i think my tank is finally in, i had my bro and another guy working all week and they sent me pics of it being done, but i will see tomorrow

Just a quick reminder to those with any water cooled glands.

Once a season at least check for clogs in the fittings at both ends.

Salt and or debris can clogg the fittings since many of them are only 1/4 pipe and many times 90's are used off the engine.

The other issue for those who winterize out of the water is bug build up in the hole at the gland.

Had a boat that was shipped from up north down and if I hadn't checked, the gland would have burned up.
