Keel on a bertram

Post by martinciarpella »

I know there is goin to be some backlash on this one but what are the benefits of adding a keel to a 31?

What would the disadvantages be?

Anyone kicked this idea around?

what are the benefits of adding a keel to a 31?
Absolutely and unequivocally, NONE...
What would the disadvantages be?
Excessive and unwanted drag, (loss of speed), and detrimental to following sea keeping abilities.
Anyone kicked this idea around?
Off a cliff?

Only benefit I can think of is you'll add a little prop protection. I'd rather be careful
