Yes. The boat was there longer than I. She served as a worthy taxi!

I had the great fortune to be a guest of Sam Gershowitz on his new 95' Jim Smith named Marlena. This was arranged by another great friend of mine named Dean Travis Clarke who was there to write an article on that amazing piece of machinery.

We left Wednesday at midnight, trolled all day, loaded up on mahi, scored two yellowfin and headed home.

5 staterooms, 2 bridge levels, 33 knot cruise at 180 gph. Amazing boat. We made it home from the fishtails in 2.5 hours.

In the comfort of home. Just an incredible boat, and a great time with old and new friends.!

Dug,
Before Sam's mega yacht days, he was the stewart of three Bertrams. Two 42's and a 33.

Sam was a very gracious host. A wonderful guy. I was fortunate to be a guest! His crew was also awesome!

Yes, 2 tuna and a pile of mahi!

It was amazing. And no tv was watched. There were two many whales and rays and other wildlife out there. It was incredible as an aquarium!

And Mike, I venture to say it was far more than 1000 gallons. I think we burned 500-600 on the ride home alone. But it only took 2.5 hours!

the 60 bertram i fish on runs about 30 knots. kind of a rough ride but worth it in time saved. we however DO watch the TV. last november out 100 miles on a rainy stormy day i was comfortably watching the jets game when a reel went off and it was my turn.....................oh well.
