Sports Illustrated Archives - Bertram
I stumbled across the SI archives. I like boats and history and Bertrams. You can search their old magazines for articles on Dick Bertram or Richard Bertram and come up with a few hits. Here's one on the 2nd Nassau - Miami Race. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/ ... /index.htm
There's other cool stuff out there you can search on Sport Fishing, or Rybovich, etc. and dig up some old gems.
The site allows you to even view the scanned magazines with the photographs as well. Some of the old advertisements are very entertaining.

What was Billy Joel thinking???
Ahh...""Me thinks"" he'd be thinking..."been there, done that".
A Christie side story--
A friend from the dock told me some years ago that he had anchored up with a bunch of boats including Billy and Christie, partied all night long...The following morning he got up early and got to talking with Christie for a minute or two...he said she was still unbelievably hot in the morning without makeup. And this was coming from a gay guy...so I believe him.
And thanks that was a cool read...never seen that article before.
