Sorry to bring sad news today, but John Preece passed away some time during the last couple of months. John's last post was 01 May 2010 07:57 pm.

John was only 51 year old.

John was the fellow that made the bundled PVC pipe enclosure to work on his B31, ( http://bertram31.com/newbb/viewtopic.php?p=49535 ).

John's daughter, Tia, registered today as our newest member and broke the news to me. She will be looking for suggestions and help to finish John's project...

John's post history: http://bertram31.com/newbb/search.php?s ... uthor=john

We'll miss you John and welcome Tia as the one to carry on your torch.

Sad regards,

Patrick

That is very sad especially at such a young age.

Although I never met John in person, I had several conversations with him comparing notes about our Bertrams.

He was always a pleasure to talk with.

Rest in Peace John

That is sad indeed! Much too young is an understatement. I remember seeing that thread, this man had some talent and hopefully somebody will finish his 31 with the same passion as he obviously had.

My thought and prayers are with the family. If anyone knows where they are located, maybe some of us can spend a little time and help finish the project.

Tia...

My condolances to you and your family. I admired your dad's shelter for his boat, and was interested to see how the project developed.
