Beautiful, it came out really nice. You should be really proud of that interior, it's eye-popping.

Thats beutiful, I look forward to additional photos. Is this the culimination of a long term project or was all the carpentry and finish work done this past winter. Either way it looks like you have a fabulous interior.

I bought the boat with the bones of the interior work done but in need of TLC ... The carpenters took the time this winter to replace any remaining formica. My painter, with no previous varnish experience worked under a tarp in Maine this winter applying 12 coats of Epiphanes to the wood. He did what he could at a shop I have nearby.

The new enclosure, some new upholstery, fresh set of gauges, switches, back panel for the electronics, controls, autopilot, larger rudders, rebuilt steering will finish off the list for this year. They are going to buff out the gelcoat but the next significant project will be a repaint.

I love the boat.

What material did you use for the interior in the cabin (the hull sides). Looks like a commercail grade carpet? Looks good BTW. I'm trying to figure out how to re-do the V-birth on my 25.

You did a fabulous job. It does not remotely resemble the boat you left Long Island last fall. Great work. Did you get the big boat home yet?

That is one pretty interior. I think you may have just up the anti. I don't think there is a 28 or a lot of other boats out there with an interior like that. That is just unbelievable.

Ohhhhhhh shiney.
Looks great, I could live in there.
My painter, with no previous varnish experience worked under a tarp in Maine this winter applying 12 coats of Epiphanes to the wood.
Ask him if he wants a job in the Upper Keys, starting immediatley.
Hard work, low pay, grueling work environment... Whats not to love?

Wow, that is some beautiful wood work. Can you provide any details about the kinds of wood you used and the thickness. Looks like the aft wall of the v-birth area has a different kind of wood than in the salon area. Also looks like some maple around the anchor locker door. Did you just use a thin veneer of wood to cover the formica areas? Thanks for any information. Very impressive.

You raised the Bar. That is stunning. Can you give a few more details? The wood just inside the v-berth cabin, the grain looks so beautiful. What type of wood is it? Was it left natural and Epiphaned (Varnished)? The Curved round-over edge of the raised support for the Settee is another thing that really stands out. No right angles. Awesome.

It's all teak veneer ply, with solid teak framing right?
Forward bulkhead is what...Birch veneer ply?

Thanks for all the very positive responses and sorry for the delayed response ... been getting bugs worked out after getting her in the water.

There are many different wood types used ... some marine mahoghany plywood veneer 3/4" some solid mahoghany 3/4", some 1/2" cherry plywood veneer and some 1/4" cherry plywood veneer.

I'll clean her up some and get a few exterior shots today! I think the lighter wood against the chain locker is just cherry that didn't get the 12 coats of Epiphanes .... a couple to get finished up ... more work for the offseason.

Some of the existing laminate like the forward galley bulkhead was left in place and covered with 1/4" cherry plywood veneer.
