Kiwi Non Skid

O.K I know some here have used it and I also just did some of it and want to give my experience with it here.

I wanted it some what smooth I did get what I wanted but found if you start with a thick layer its hard to get it smooth. I started with a west system notched trowel and it was just to much even with the smallest notches. I just used a small 1" dia paint roller then lightly used the Kiwi roller. The stuff dries fast so larger area I will get another set of hands. Also after drying you can lightly hit it with some 320 sand paper to knock any high / sharp points down.
So far I like the stuff waiting to see how well it cleans up.

I have a photo album where you can click on full size picture then zoom in to see the pattern it leaves. Non- skid is a very funny thing and everyone has different likes and dislike but this stuff is easy and you can touchup and recoat easier then paint. We all know it can take a beating when fishing!

Next I need to finish the cockpit deck.

Let me know if anyone has question I get a lot of GOOD Info here and just want to return some.

That looks really nice Dan.

I just placed the order for my Kiwi yesterday...I was hoping to do the deck this coming weekend...but looks like it will be next week at best.

Good idea about knocking the points off with 320...I was a little worried about it being too aggressive.

Also Jamestown now carries it. If you order from Jamestown make sure you get the "Loopy Goopey" Roller as it is not included...and you need it to add the texture.

Doug Sure do hope your not putting that in your cockpit!

Sim I will be trying it with a texture roller I got in Lowes and will post the results. Might be a little better for the floor we will see?

I have seen Kiwi in the cockpit of RenegadeMike's B31 down in Cabo San Lucas and look good to me.
