Just checking in to see who else is waxing their snow shovel and putting gas in the snow blower.

Looks like this is gonna be another big one "Blizzard Warning" up for us.

Gotta go to the store to get Bread and Beer.

Rained all last night. Cleared ninety percent of the snow.
Now snowing. Has been for about an hour and already two inches.
Think we're in deep white doo-doo.

We've gotten over 20" so far, and its supposed to snow until tonight around 10 pm--looks like we might wind up with the 30" they were talking about.

So much for Algore and his Global Warming.... The webserver that hosts our site is located in Easton, MD, (about 35 miles east of DC). So the storm was only a 2 day rain event for me when it went through on Wed & Thurs, it downed the server for several hours yesterday.

DC got their ass kicked, so Easton pretty much had the same.

i have no informed opinion on global warming but i know the difference between weather and climate.

we got nothing but you could stand on the beach and watch it dump about 5 miles off shore. absolutely weird.

Man can, and has done a lot of monumental things in his meager existence on earth, but one thing I am sure of is that he cannot do anything to control Mother Nature in matters of weather and climate. Unfortunately man's ego cannot accept it's impotence in that matter and keeps thinking there's a weather/climate/earthquake/tsunami Viagra somewhere. Even when we know they're coming, there's nothing we can do to control them. It's going to do what it's going to do. Just recognize it's might and power and be prepared to clean up after...or move somewhere else.

Guess I'll quit bitchin' about our cold weather.....I'm working on the Flying Whaler outside my shop in the sun, t-shirt, but cool. Back in my dreaded "W" days I got caught at Regan Nat'l for 2 days in a snowstorm....and it was before they opened the cut bait place...24/7 burgers.....hastened my retirement a good bit.

You guys just relax, it will warm up by June.
