Finally got that fire hazard taken care of

Of course had to fix the leaks before I disconnected the batteries first.

Oh yeah! Not sure if I was more shocked at the original house fuses or the 26 years of wiring hacks from previous owners. Some people should not attempt DIY and hire a professional (and good grief if it was done by a professional) . Either do it right - or don't bother.

replaced the battery tray (that was rotting) and installed a new charger that will do a better job with my optima batteries too.

Nice! These type of projects need to be taken in small manageable steps or you can easily become overwhelmed!! Slow and steady gets it done!
