Faithful Xmass.

Post by Brewster Minton »

I was going to be alone for Xmass this year because of the devorce and stuff but Walter and his wife were very kind and had me to dinner at their house. It really was nice not to be alone and they were the best hosts at a time when I really needed it. It shows what kind of people you meet on this board. Thank you Walter.

Cool, Brew....

Thanks for sharing

I'm quite impressed with the general charater of the good folks on this board too! ! ! !

People here have loaned me propellers, invited me into their home, entertained me, accepted my advise, given me boat parts, given me advise, accepted my friendship took time out of their day to have lunch, included me in their trips to the Gulf Coast and showed me what real friendship looks like.

Yea,,,I got to say....you guys beez GREAT

I think boating people in general are a great crowd.

The people on this Forum are several notches higher.

Thanks for sharing Brewster.

Walter...thanks for being Walter!

Walter's must have been great, but the Kennedy's established a new low in Christmas traditions. Went to a drag show in Key West!

It works both ways Brewster. You were a pleasure and made our holiday an even better one. As for Patrick...if it weren't for him, the now cherished friendships the site has made for all of us would never have been. We all owe him big time! Happy 2010 to everyone and don't forget to vote 'em all out in November! Walter

Brewster...

What goes around comes around.

I recall about 2 years ago you offered to lead a friend of mine from here through one of the local inlets you were familiar with when he was considering transiting it in a boat delivery. You did not know him, and you and I have never met in person, yet you were willing to take the time and effort to help another mariner. That is the type of people here, and that is the type of guy you are.

I am not a fatalist, but I do believe if you try to do good things for people you by and large will have good things done for you.

Here's to a safe and prosperous 2010!

Sorry to hear of your troubles Brewster. Hope you and everyone had a good New Years. On the note of volunteering...if any of you are around St. Augustine send me a note. There are some marinas in the area that may not have web sites. And, the ICW around the inlet has a secret buoy at the inlet that causes havoc with transient boaters (especially at low tide). Thanks for letting a 31 hopeful be part of the site.
