Andy, Youve gone this far...if in doubt rip it out..I have ground out any and all loose tabbing on my 31 then used three layers of glass two layers of 1708 and one layer heavy mat in between..first layer being the widest and step back each layer by about 1" or so. The plywood inside the stringers on my boat was in good shape. I have used coosa or penske board with great results, also heard of guys using a laminated beam smilar to those used in house framing. Decide on power package and make a game plan form there..thats what I did. Nice to see another crazy Bertram guy startin from scratch. That was me four years ago. Keep pluggin away..I couldnt have done it without this site. BH

repairing that stringer- cut both out entirely and replace.

No repair, its time to replace.
