My daughter & son in law put an ad in the local paper to give away FREE a puppy they found....got an email from Nigeria offering to pay for the free puppy with a cashier's check if they would send half of the money back to the sender.....no shit......also one of the lawyers at my office got a fake cashier's check from Canada with the same sort of request...guess they hope your bank will give you immediate credit and you send the money before the fake check bounces...

But buying a free puppy is sort of a tip off, don't you think?

What UV said.

I get a dozen spams per day telling me I won the Nigerian Lotto, or someone died and left me money. Gee, Up until last week, I didn't know anyone from Nigeria. Last week, I met the Crowned Prince of Nigeria at a function in NY City......go figure???

my spam filter works pretty well but i get these emails from hong kong offering to import my "product". even though they have no idea what it is. as i always used to tell the cold callers who said they had spoken to me six months before......"if you ever spoke to me once you wouldn'n be calling back. you want to make money for you...not me...anyone who gives money to a stranger that calls them on the phone is an IDIOT!!".

same for email

No, but he has offered the Master of Ceremonies an ivitation to go to Nigeria anytime he wants. The Master of Ceremonies said, he would make the trip when the Prince air conditioned the jungles. He then claimed that the Prince had enough money to accomplish this feat.
