I have a single 330B Cummins with a Morse control. Can't maintain RPM's a cruise. Is there an adjustment on the Morse control to stiffen this up? There are two set screws on the lever but they don't seem to do much for tension.
Thanks,
Jim

They make a cable brake that squeeze the jacket around the cable. You can do the same thing with a hose clamp probably. You have tried adjusting the brake screw on the lever?

not sure what type of morse controls you have...but if they are the chromed version with the small name plate that is held in place with 2 screw (name plate says "MORSE CONTROL" on it), then they are like mine. I had same prblem. You can remove that name plate by removing the 2 screws holding in place. Inside there, you'll see two more screws. One adjusts the "throw" and the other "friction". If you tighten up that friction lever you're problem will go away. (at least it did for me). It can really drive you nuts!

Played with the brake screw last night. Problem solved.
