Fisherman and people that live along the Gulf Coast this year have been hearing and seeing strange things that are unusually closer to shore than normal. Well here is another strange occurance that normally happens offshore and not right along the coast, is Whale Sharks right off the beaches.

We think the abundance of plankton blumes are way up because, the food source of whale sharks & lots other species coming in so close to have all these strange types of fish and mamals that have been spotted this year closer than normal to the beaches. Grayton beach is between Destin and Panama City and also Whale Shaks have been spotted right off the sea buoy at Orange beach in which I will post some pictures of them also.

Also the Marlin bite has been so incredible the last week at the Nipple which is about 28nm offshore from Pensacola, that it is abnormal to what has been happening. Most every boat that got in on the bite where getting shots at 7-10 billfish within a 4-6 hr. period or less and some getting Grand Slams on all 3-species of Blues,Whities and Sails.

Enjoy,

Quite a few off St. Pete and Clearwater have been sighted also this summer. Pretty wild really. This is the first year I have seen turtles (and big ones) inside Tampa Bay. There was a stretch where I saw one every weekend for 5 weekends straight. Had not seen seen one in Tampa Bay prior (and I've been here 20 years)
