Sorry to post this here but I thought with the knowledge on this board someone would know what this is. Found this on craigslist...http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/boa/1315640907.html It looks like an Anacapri to me. The price seemed right if it is a Blackfin. I still looking to start a project with a low initial investment. This is pretty low.

Pics are not great, and leave some to doubt... but assuming that is in fact a 1975 Blackin, that would be a Cary hull, not a later model so-called "wide body" hull. The hull ID (if it has one) may begin with something like KAMC, for Karanda Marine. Once upon a time I owned a 1976 Blackfin 24, and its hull number began with something like KAMC.

FYI, the old narrow-body boats are very good for slicing through waves, but lack the square footage the later wider hulls have, and they are not as dry as the later designs were.

Algillen is right on. Great running boats, especially in a head sea. They rock a little bit on the drift because they are a little narrow. But done right they are a very good hull.

I just sold a 27 Blackfin made in 1987 ... what is pictured there is a different hull. The 27 that I had was a very nice riding boat.

Thanks

Thanks guys. I'll try to get a hull number and some better pics to help prove/disprove the brand.

I agree this is a Cary model boat. There's one just like her in my canal in Freeport.
