B-series Serpentine Belt path ???
I was wondering what the correct path for the serpentine belt is on the front of a B-series Cummins. I am only turning the water pump, alternator, crankshaft, and the tensioner.
It seems the belt rides on one of the pulleys with the grooves facing the flat idler pulley.
Is there a diagram of how it is supposed to go?
I am not sure and dont remember. I just installed the engines and never ran them, only fired them up once since I put them in the boat.

I have the volume 1 and volume 2 Cummins maintenance manuals. They are real thick and green in color.
They only show the configurations for industrial and automotive, the heat exchanger cooled engine diagram does not show front of engine.
I bought those manuals direct from Cummins and thought they were very vague at best. Diagrams are good but I felt they left a lot to be desired.
I wonder if they are the same books as you guys mention.
Mine are the same as Harry's. The "grooves" ride on the tensioner, is this correct because Harry's are the same as mine.
I guess it is correct.
