Well I finally installed a Ultra Senior with high water alarm feature. Quality of the product looks to be top notch. Read about them a long time ago but never got around to buying one. That switch is what they use on our 39' Midnight express so I figured what the heck. It has a green LED on the switch so you know it has power. Cool feature.
Thanks to JB I have a new Bruce anchor and I put 20' of chain on it. Got rid of the old rode and put a new 200' shot of 5/8 twisted on it too. Will try it out at the Boat races on Sunday....should be rather windy.
I am also at the final stages of the transducer install. Today I siliconed the transducer housing to the hull. I will fill it with KY in the morning and plug it in. For the trial run I just stuck it in a bag of water between the engines and it worked great even at 23 knots. I was suprised it read through that part of the hull.........it is really thick there. Hope it works in the spot that I mounted the housing.
