We're in it and not only is the Moppie and The 31, but also Bertram31.com. It's the October issue. Walter

I believe that. We have had ours since 1975 and I only see me getting rid of it until I can no longer get use or pleasure out of it. Tony Meola

I was meeting with my investment mgr. and he wanted to know about a withdrawl I made recently, he started to quiz me about what I used the funds for, I said well Bill I bought a boat its an old boat that needs "Lots of TLC" but it is one of the best and most desirable boats especially for guys my age who have been knocking around boats forever.
He laughed and said "Tell me you bought a Bertram 31 its probably the only boat that I would consider to be a good investment".

I second that sentiment.
I've owned a lot of boats & driven hundreds more. I was in the boating industry for 25 years and I co-owned a 52ft Ray Hunt Custom Sportfish (built 1971) that was really just a big version of the 31 and of all of them she is the only one to come close to the 31, but our 31 is better. She's a never sell.

Just read the Boating issue at the barber shop. I'm surprised the top 5 cult boats did not include the boston whaler, or cult classic sea craft. I can see the Donzi 16 and the Aquasport 22; but the Grand Banks and that other boat IMHO are behind the Boston Whaler and Sea Craft in cult-ness and longevity of classic design.
