Has anyone out there had experience with trucking a B31 FBC ? What has to come off .... hopefully nothing or just the windshield. This would be on interstate 95.
thanks

I had my '69 31 FBC trucked from LI, NY to MD. The plastic windscreen thing (and anything higher, like the radar arch and top) had to come off.

Do ya'll know anyone who trailers a B31 on a regular or seasonal basis, say up and down the east coast. I'm considering finding a good trailer and moving my B31 sedan on a seasonal basis (MD to FL). Thinking I could leave it on the trailer for short periods of time. Glenn

Glenn,
The sedan shouldn't be a problem with height , you'll need wide load signs and permits for width, Ga is real picky about permits, a freind towed his Pheonix without getting permits, cost him $500 fine and 3 day wait in a weigh station a few years back. Wide loads can only be during daylight hours.

thanks Pete, I guess if I plan my trips well it may be worth the effort. It seems like I could buy a good trailer for the cost of hiring a hauler to make 2 or 3 trips from MD to FL. Do you know if it's bad for the hull to stay on the trailer 2 or 3 months a year?
