Epoxy Help

I'm in the process of installing my bow eye.

I was sure I had enough epoxy on hand, but when I was mixing I realized that my resin had crystalized. I has not frozen, etc.

Can I place the resin container in a bath of hot water to 'melt' the crystals or is the epoxy trash?

Thanks,

Ian.

Ian,

Heat up enough water, to around 150º F, & set the resin container into it until the contents are the about the same temperture. Shake it up vigorously and see if it looks OK. If the crystals still exist, then its no good. Allow it to cool back down to less than 80º F before trying to use it, unless you want a really fast kick time...

All epoxy resins will change to a darker color with age, but rarely go bad.

Br,

Patrick

Thanks.

I did just that and everything turned back to liquid state.

Bow eye is in and it IS NOT going anywhere...

Thanks again,

Ian.
