Gentlemen,

I am in the process of ordering my Imron from Finish masters in jacksonville.

Thought i'd order the clearcote for the teak and holly sole at same time. Imron offers a 2 part polyurethane clear that specifically goes over wood. I was going to epoxy coat the sole first with west system and 207 hardner then put this clear coat on top. Does this sound reasonable? Is there a better clear that you'd recommend?

Most yards on Long Island(NY) use SIKKENS Cetol Marine finish. There is a light, a dark and then you finish with a clear top coat. I would use the light color. Too many yrs of dark really make it dark.

Guys,

Sorry I wasn't clear my fault! This is for the interior cabin sole. Don't I remember you guys being crazy for some 2 part bullet proof clearcoat to go over top?

I used west epoxy about 4coats then satin varnish on mine. looks great, can handle getting wet(epoxy) and didn't try to kill me with fumes like the awlbright I tried to put over the epoxy. the varnish is easy to retouch too.
