Cummins 6BT5.9-M

Post by luis »

I found 2 x Cummins 6BT5.9-M 210hp/2600 rpm completelly reconditioned and at a good price. Could be a good replacement for the old V8/185 Cummins I have. I really apreciate to have some opinions about these 6BT.
Thanks .
And can I keep the Borg Warner 72C (1:1.51) ; shafts 1 3/8" and 19x21" - 4 blades propellers with these engines?
Thanks again.

The 210's are great and Bulletproof! Take care of them and they'll last forever. I have 2 in my B-31. I have 1 3/8" shafts and run a pair of 20 x 20's cupped. My transmissions are twin discs but at the same gear ratio as yours.
