Guys,
The other day I was browsing our site while trying to calm my cabin fever. I came across a picture of a '31 helm that had a captains chair and behind it a bench seat that looked liked it could seat 3. I spent quite some time trying to find it again to show the wife but can't seem to track it down. I'm sure it belongs to one of our members. If it is one of our members I would love to see it again. Could you re-post a shot? I have wanted to re-configure my helm for some years but could not decide which way to go. This seemed perfect.

I had a small bench made into the aft section of the 1/2 tower. It's wide enough to fit a cheek and rest comfortably against. Also have a bench fabricated with a plate in the center for the helm seat. I haven't completed the bench portion yet but it'll only take 2 pieces of starboard and some fabric work. There are various pics on www.seanile31.com but I am not sure if there are any close shots of just the seating arrangements.

I think this might be what you are looking for. I clipped it out from a post last year. I am intersted in the same chair, and planned to try to order one this year, but nned to be a little conservative on the cash depatrment this year.

We started the overhang on the port leg of the tower... But it could also be hung on a hard top leg..

Looks a little "half pregnant" withouth the tower controls hooked up.

Nice job for a west coast tower, they normally look well not so good compared to the East coast stuff on the B31's.

Gotta be one of the prettiest girls in the west coast fleet. Well done.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Marine Metal Fabricators of RI. Captain Rick Weller and his wife do gods work in aluminum.

You will hear about J&J, but they have been expensive, and won't give you anywhere near the service and interaction that Rick will. He is great.

Tell him I sent ya.

Small world....I am pretty sure I went to high school with Rick (2 years behind me.) what do you know.

Ironman, I like your set up. I have been thinking about a way to get more seating on the bridge, but maintain the main helm seat that swivels. (My bridge helm set up is similar, good to run the boat from, but also good to just sit up there and have a beer watching the scenery while on anchor or at the dock.) Thanks for the fuel for thought.
