Okay have a question regarding the fuel tank. I am converting to Diesel from gas and we opened the tank and see a little evidence of ethonal damage but not bad. Yard says looks okay after a good cleaning and no evidence of any structual damage. They say it should be fine. Just wanted to get an opinion here on weather to replace or give it a try.

Thanks

If you haven't seen ethanol sludge in your fuel filters or engines, then the odds are in your favor of the tank being good for diesel use. I'd go ahead and keep the tank. In the long run, if you do have to replace the tank later, you'll have spent a few more dollars, but if the tank proves to be fine you'll save a bundle.

He is what the inside of my tank (25ft 1967) looked like. I would say now would be the perfect time to change it out. You got 30+ years out of it.

Just my 2 cents.
