A chopper went down yesterday out of Sabine Pass, TX. As of last night the USCG has found 1 of 5 passengers, the 1 they found is alive. God bless those men and their families. Remember these men when you turn your heaters on.

That's really sad Scot
Sorry to hear......tradgedys are always hard but this time of the year seems to make them more unbearable.........
My thoughts and prayers will be with the families

Hi Scot, Joe Laugelle was the pilot. Comes from my home Cohasset, MA. Big family, nice family, very sad. Thanks for noting.

As a commercial diver for 20 years, I picked up too many of those off the bottom to ever feel comfortable riding in one.
Chopper went down around 3 yesterday afternoon about 10 miles from the house.
Emergency workers are claiming fog to be the main factor right now.... even though ground level visibility was pretty clear.
I've never been on an "uneventfull" chopper flight.
