ISSPRO Tach

Post by Capt.Frank »

I just finished putting in all new wire, gauges, and senders in 3208 NA. I can't get the tachs to work. The tach drives have two wires a white and black. The instructions say to conect the sensor to the I think white (on gauge) and black (wire on gauge) to ground/ other wire from tach drive. I have set program on the back of the tachs. Nothing a little bounce once in a while so I think the tach drives are working. Some people tell me that the two wires go to the tach and neither should be grounded. Once ignition turn on gauge zeros so its working. I hope to get a friend to use a scope to read the drive out put but not untile the weekend. Any ideas??

Have you checked the clearance between the flywheel and the pick-up? This is exactly what my VDO's did on my Cummins and I needed to move the pick-up very slightly toward the flywheel.
