Rub rail

What is the concensus on the mitered rub rail or the curved one for the transom? Thanks again.

Bending the PVC guard rail to the transom is not feasable... Too much material to bunch up into a smooth 90º angle. You'd need a pair of female molds to even attempt it. While mitering is a tedious job, it's the only way to get a good result.
By using your old aluminum rail as a mold, you can make a pair of fiberglass templates that will at least allow you to mark out a close approximation of the necessary cuts.

if your ordering a new rub rail from alex whitaker, 31 bertram specialties.you will have enough material to make the templates
