Fuel smell
After shutting down and running the blowers for a while(15 mins) the airconditioning is pulling a strong gas smell into the cabin. New aluminum tank, new fuel lines to filters, rebuilt carb stbd side. Changing out fuel pumps, and all remaining lines now. It seems the carbs( quadrajets) may be perking out the fuel, is the new fuel more prone to that from a volatility stand point? these engines have to last till I win the lotery for 330 cummins. thanks in advance folks, Bill

gas smell
Bill,
Check thr rubber hoses that attach to the flame arrestors, they can loosen from them. The hoses go into the valve covers and have vacuum which pull some of the gas smells away, also at the ends that go into the valve covers some will have a valve like a pvc valve on a car that could clog.Good luck.

Bill, do you have a combi or a split system? The air handeler should be in a sealed area only being fed return air from the cabin. If the air handeler is in the engine room you will need to upgrade the instaltion. Not only gas fumes but bilge odors will be circulating through the cabin.
Good luck,
