fuel economy

I have a '79 FBC with 454's. I know it depends a lot on loading, sea state, etc. but can anyone with floscan tell me what their most economical cruse RPM's are. Plan on installing fuel flow meters but havn't done so yet.

Full tower, lots of beer & stuff, we run 18 knots at 2800. End of the trip all said and done 1 per 1, sorry.

I just listed a floscan on ebay that will work for your boat, I had it on my B28 but am goin diesel and cant use it any more. Its the twin scan for twin screw.

2800-2850rpm - 19mph - 18-20gph. Running light in flat seas ( 1/2 tank of fuel (110gal) 2 adults and 2 kids. 63 Express, 440's with a small tower.
