My guess is the transmissions fitting will be the least of you problems if you buy from these guys. I would do a little research into sunopwer (try the BBB) before dealing with them. Understand this is just MY opinion, others may feel different.

Hey, I just talked to a friend who I thought had delt with sunpower, and was informed it was not them. While the advice is still good, I don't know of anything about them, sorry. (and sorry to Sunpower)

ZF 630 gears will work fine in a 31 and will take up to 325hp on diesel.

Yanmar uses those gears on the 6LP 315hp.

8 degree down angle on standard setup.

The BW velvet drives are an inline gear and will require the engine to be tilted. Which is why most older gas had thick wedge plates under the carb.

New gas and diesel are limited to around an 5 degree angle which makes using the old velvet drives not practical.
