fuel lines

My mechanic likes to use high pressure, blue rubber I think, web reinforced lines with crimped on threaded brass fittings. Is this overkill? If not, where can the brass fittings be found? He says that none are available locally and that he usually reuses existing ones, or gets them from Bertram. I dont know if my barb fittings can be removed from the tank, I'll have to check it out.
Much thanks.

Start by soaking them with CX....
Theres a place out here called Mesa hose. does custom high pressure stuff for the hot rodders. Gotta be somebody like that around you?
They did mine ...
Just mock up with cheap hose & take it in for the good blue stuff.

We have Moreland hose and several others. You need to search for Hydraulic hose suppliers in your area, John. They usually supply all types of hosing. I did a quick search for Texas and found about 20 places in the Brownsville/Dallas/Galveston triangle. I am sure one of them should be able to help.

They are usually very helpful. Good luck and enjoy the weekend.

Guys,
There's plenty of places to have the hydraulic lines put together, but the problem is finding the brass fittings.
Thanks.

John: Find your local Parker-Hannifin distributor. They will have or can get you everything you need.

Rawleigh,
Thanks for bailing me out, again!
I'm trying to get as much stuff done without involving the mechanic. My time is cheap, not his.

John,

Just about any good hose shop will get the brass fittings if that's what you specify. They may not stock them but can get them, most likely from WW Grainger...

Plenty of places in Houston with the fittings. The fittings are the same as used by commercial divers on compressor whip lines, etc. If you have a local commercial dive company call them and ask them where they get their brass JIC fittings.

The lines in the picture are Aeroquip.
The fittings are not crimped on.
The are screwed on and can be reused.

Anything wrong with using barbed fittings and double screw clamps? Mine was that way for 17 years with no issues (yet), so I went the same way when I repowered.
