Mike,
I take it your running 2:1 gear boxes, what size props are you turning?
3's or 4?
Thanks.

Right now I'm running 21X23 3 blade, but think that I'm a little over-proped. I liked my 20x22 4 blade props better. When they turned to swiss cheese in a poorly grounded marina, I got the bigger ones....and have been too lazy or too cheap to get another pair of fours.

Bruce,
I am running the same set up mechanically as Mike, but I have the 4 blade props.
I will get the sizes off them this coming weekend and let you know what they are if you like.

Bruce,
Looked through my files for 4 cylinder Yanmar repowers, prop sizes. Only got 2 31's. Both have Hurth 2 to 1 gears. No flow scans on either boat.
Sandy Bird 1966 Express T- 240 hp 19"x 22 pitch 4 blades, 1-3/8" shafts WOT 28 Knots. Fulll Tower. Heavy loaded with wet cockpit sole. 4 people aboard. 120 gallons of fuel. 80 degrees, ICW West Palm Beach, clam sea, no wind or current.
Main Event 1970 FBC T- 240 hp 19"x 22 pitch 3 blades, 1-3/8" shafts WOT 28 Knots. Light load, no riggers, no tower, Bimini up with full curtains in place, 3 people aboard, 90 gallons of fuel. 76 degrees Marblehead Ma. 1' to 2' chop, SE wind 10-15 mph.
Check with Doc he's got 240 Yanmars also.
Any idea when we are supposed to play that golf date, before April 24?.
