Cape May Marlin Tuna club's anual Ladies day tournament

Post by JimmyG »

Fishing wasn't great but it was a beautiful day flat calm and sunny and we were able to scratch out a White marlin, 8 Mahi and 2 Yellow fin. It was my daughter's first white putting us in first place on time in the tourney!

Jimmy, congrats to you and your daughter.

I showed the pictures to my girls 7 & 4 and they want to catch one too. I also explained the tradition of jumpping in the water after your first and Mallory, my 7 yr old doesn't want to jump in the water until she gets back to the dock she thinks the sailfish would come up and poke her in the heinie for catching him.

John

Jimmy,

Here's a link to ubb style codes: What is UBB Code?

Basically, the beginnig tag defines the function and the closing tag limits the function to what ever is between the two tags. The ubb tags are always bracketed with [], the opening tag will always be in the form of [***] and the closing tag in the form of [/***]

A URL to a web page will usually end with /, .html, .htm, .php, .asp, or .cfm

A web image will almost always end with .gif or .jpg

So a link to a web page will carry the format of:
[ url]http://somedomain.com/page.htm[ /url] (I've added a space after the [ here to keep the script from thinking that is is an actual URL)

An image on the web that you want to show here would be coded:
[ img]http://somedomain.com/image.jpg[ /img]

Other tags available on this board include: B (for bold), i (for italics), & u for underlined.

If you want a URL to to be linked, but want a description of the link rather than just the url itself you'd place the URL within the command seperated by an equal sign. ie: [ url=http://bertram31.com/search.htm]bertram31.com Site Search[ /url], which would come out as bertram31.com Site Search

In some instances you can nest commands within commands. ie:
[ url=http://bertram31.com/search.htm][ b]bertram31.com Site Search[ /b][ /url], which would come out as bertram31.com Site Search

An image that links when the image is clicked on would look like:
[ url=http://bertram31.com/img/Chimera.jpg][ img]http://bertram31.com/img/Chimera-sm.jpg[ /img][ /url]

And show as:
Image

The main thing to remember is the command tags MUST be closed in the proper spot & to PREVIEW your messages before hitting the SUBMIT button. Previewing will let you know if your post looks like you want it to or not. You can make changes as necessary, (spelling, grammar, coding, etc), and see your changes by again hitting Preview. You can do this as many times as you want until you have the message the way you want it to be. When satisified, THEN hit the Submit button...
