Any update on the status of this potential tourney?

Those of us fortunate enough to live in the great State of Texas have been doing some planning. At this point, we need to know the approximate dates we are going to have to deliver that big 'ol can of whup arse. Sure, we keep some in inventory year round. Nevertheless, we like to schedule deliveries well in advance to make sure all (except only Uncle Vic) get a heeping helping.

Short answer is no, not at this time. Long answer we are shooting for the last week in July or first part of August. One of the Faithful is checking with Venice Marina for slips so we can avoid any major tourneys. Also working on lining up a big oil co. houseboat as a HQ, kitchen and bunk house. Probably have a good cook lined up too.

I used to have to plan way ahead too when I was among the ranks of the working.......

Thanks.

I don't know which I am more excited about - Tropic S or returning to the gator country. Its kinda a pick-em, at this stage.

I was in Venice a couple of weeks ago duck hunting, and I prefer TSL to be brutally honest. But a gathering of the Faithful is always fun.

UV, he accidentally hit the "enter" button. He really was just typing how he felt, internally, growing up around pick up sports games. Alas, the short, fat, uncoordinated one was always picked last. Some things never change do they Timmy? Yo' frend- Tomasito

Thanks for the clarification, Tomas....Timmy, we will be happy to drop you off at PE for a week, pick you or your picked-clean body up a few weeks later. The goats have teamed up with the crabs....."baaahhhhh, timmy, he never writes, he never calls". Andre' & da Judge were down at PE recently, said it's still pretty grim.

Timmy's the only man in history that a goat has given a reach around to. True story, I saw it and John Cranston heard it in person, from the porch of the cook shack in PE.

UV, looking forward to some more roulet in Panama! Life is good....

Timmy, consider you-self invited to whatever we end up doing, bring money this time, and your clothes. Andre' keeps telling me he gets calls from Panama wanting him to insure stuff down there, the callers saw you in your borrowed Fourrier Agency t shirt, the only one you had.

Tom, you sure bailed my ass out at the casino last June on the spinning wheel, you the man. We shall do it again. Me & the Minister de Pollo (Ret.) are eyeing the airfares for the AE 2 for one upgrade to the Land of Free Whiskey and man, the prices are way up there. We will probably just bite the bullet and do the IAH-PTY 9 am and come back on the 10 am out of PTY....the afternoon flisht got us to IAH pretty late and the only reason we made the connection to BTR was everything was 3 hours late...but they lost our luggage anyway so really not an issue.

The Minister de Pollo (Ret.) wants to catch a marlin this year, he's tired of just 14 sails, think we can hook him up?

Rule #1, don't fly in stearage with the chickens and goats on any flight over 3.5 hours.

Rule #2, Life's too short to ignore rule #1.

Rule #3, no matter how mo expensive it is to comply with #'s 1 and 2, the illusion of free whiskey makes it all worth while!! Especially when reliving the adventure 4 months later and talking about how all the engines lost power in that storm over the GOM.

After all, once Thanksgiving is over, who remembers what the fubar it cost in the first place? Unless you have a broke ass Hatteras on the hard, likely to never to see water again. At least my broke ass Hatteras is in the water.... Yo' Frend-Tomasito

Good news. I have a friend with a camp at Port Eads and he tells me that the power lines have been run all the way down to P.E. and his camp has power for the first time since Katrina. I know it looks depressing now, but another friend, who's a big shot with Plaquemines Parish tells me that they have big plans for P.E. and when they are done it will be much better than before. Probably still a couple of years off from that.

When I was down there two weeks ago, I was told to hook up to electricity it was a flat fee of $155.00 monthly and you had to sign a ten year contract. Two camps have elec pwr.
Further, I talked to a FEMA tick and he said they were not going to do anything regarding Port Eads. It's in limbo now.
I hope for the best but think PE is low on the totum pole for rebuilding.
Keep me posted, Jack.
