Does anybody have good source for digital tachs for Cummins.

Stick with the VDO tachs. Shoot them with a photo meter and calibrate according to the directions. You don't need digital.

Doug,

I agree with JP... If you want a good tach other than VDO, look at ISSPRO tachs. If you really want digital, look into adding FlowScans.

The VDO tachs that I have will not work with the new Mag flywheel pick-ups I installed and was looking for something different and was just thinking digital for being the most accurate. I like the VDO gauges.

Aetna makes good digital tachs. Make sure you get LCD, not LED which is real hard to see in sun light.

I buy direct from Aetna and have sold a bunch to the coast guard till they found out they could order direct also and save money.

I second Aetna, had them with my gas motors and have a new set for the diesel. They had an add on boatdiesel & I got the new tach's for $160/ea (I think).

Also, you get a live person when you call them.

Finally, figured it out that my VDO tachs will work, just had to find the right PDF file thru Seimens for my series of tachs.

Tony Athens said its just a pain in the butt to reprogram, about 20/30 minutes per tach. But thanks gang for the input & help, got it covered from here now.
