Hey guys,

There's a set of these gauges brand new in the box for sale , $425. I can't find this model on West marine on line. I've only found the model 9000. Is this a decent deal? Any comments?
Thanks in advance.

John,

The list price is $1,005.00 for diesel 300 hp, but you'll need to find out if the one you're looking at is going to work on your engines... The 7000 series comes in a wide array of hp applications & both gas & diesel. You'll also need two units, one for each engine.

Patrick

Capt Patrick,
He says that he has a total of 2 gauges. Each one performs different functions. He claimed that both gauges will handle both engines...could this be true? He said they will handle the total hp.

Thanks.

John, sorry I didn't stop by, got busy hauling wood and planning dock stuff. I stopped by Noe's yesterday and caught Charlie working on that Bahia Mar half-tower. It looks very good - long like your old one, will make lots of shade. The boat is also coming along, with Pat's air boxes installed as well as the side exhausts. They are almost finished with the Coosa board windshield frames, and they look very good, also.

John,

They might work, but you need to be real sure that they are for diesel. You've got 2 sensors per engine, (total of 4), that measure fuel coming in and fuel being returned. Get the sensor model number of what he has & check with Floscan for compatability with your engines... sales@floscan.com phone (206) 524-6625 They should be: Model 201/231 Series K Diesel Standard Flow Sensors

After getting the right model #'s and calling Floscan, I found out that they're model 6500 analog not digital. They'll work with my engines and have all 4 sensors. Not sure if I want to mess with them or not...sounds like a pain to hook them up and to get them calibrated, plus. just another thing to break.

Mike, I'll give you a call later.

Thanks.

John, I finished transplanting trees for the morning from one lot to the other, going to listen to it rain while I try to figure out what I did wrong on the maps for my book project.

I'll be home.

I hooked mine up and it took 30 hours. But they work great. It took a bunch of trips to get them setup or calibrated but I love them and never have any trouble with them. Nice product
