What is the name of the color used to paint "My 4 Girls"

Good looking job

My boat, DeNada, is painted the light blue color like "My 4 Girls". I will be doing some paint work this winter...........but I do not know the name of the color.

Thanks Charlie

I would appreciate the paint number. Is the light blue an original Bertram 31 color????

Charlie,
Do you {or anyone} happen to know what colors were originally available from Bertram on the 31's? Were they painted these colors or was it tinted gelcoat?
Thanks
John

Pretty sure it was gelcoat. My boat was originally a light blue, Jaded Lady is a dark green (I'm assuming it was originally that way), and I saw one 1961 model that was a horrible tan color all over - from the factory. Mine and Jaded Lady are both of 1962 vintage, not sure what other factory colors were available over the years.

Mike,
When I was a kid, I worked at the Watch Hill Boat Yard in Westerly, R.I. This was around 1968/69. I remember a guy had a 31 that was a funky pink/coral kinda color. Maybe you could get pretty much what you wanted from the factory in gelcoat?

As best I know, the early stock models came with hulls that were white or medium light blue. Anything else might have been considered custom. Walter

thanks iam running 230 yanmars, i followed the chime on the boot stripe. the only thing i dont like and i didnt notice it till the boat was in the water is the black boot stripe blends in with the black bottom paint. will have to do somthing with that next year

a space between the bottom paint and stripe would have done the trick

Charlie,

The boat looks real nice! You can get accent striping in 1" vinyl that'd be an easy add on and change over to paint down the road at a later date...

Patrick

Charllie-

Boat looks great. If you look at the pics. of teh Anna E. (my boat0 somewhere on this site, I have the big stripe like yours right up against the black bottom paint, and a smaller stripe above that with the hull color in between. My 4 Girls looks great as is--just an idea.
