The engines are worth that if good....Tony Athens says the chrome valve covers give you at least an extra knot.

Chris,
What are Digger's dates?

Well lets see if I get this correct. She is 29 years old and has the following measurments Chest 31 waist 11.2 with a bottom of 3.2. Now at this young age she is to young for you.
Well I hope this helps with your question.
PS No blue blood lines as in Kennedy

This 31 indicates that it was upgraded in 1999 with those cummins,,,,,,,,
did you look at the pic of the engine hours 5,549...Now thats what i'm talking about,,8 full seasons and 5500 hours.,.,.,with that type of usage ,there is little time left in the schedule for "breakdowns" deffinite use with probability of limited breakdowns.. I mean really, 700 hours a season for 8 seasons,,,somebody was doin something,,, we should all get 700 hours a season on the water!

how many hours you get this year, skippy? And what did miramar say? your prob or yanni's?

Ric,
On that VDO tach, the last two digits are 10ths/hundreds.
So the engine has 554 hours.

If you look closely you can see the decimal point on the face.

SLOW down popcorn,,,,, I gave the man the boat Monday in spec,,,exhaust ,intake, valves to the spec,,,timing belts ,and new tensioners in .,boat runnin at 30knts and 4k rpm,,,,,he never heard the boat ,,never worked on the boat, never did anything to the boat, but sell me the engines in the crate,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,nobody has but me..and 1 guy,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, he is doing this based on what i say !
so i told him to pull the heads, actually boroscope it first ..pull the valve cover ,the injectors and scope it ,,,before that,,,,,,,, document all valve adjustments as being to the spec, (as he did not do them ),if he does not see damage to the top of piston with the boroscope,,,then pull the heads ( i know what i am hearing and have heard,,,,,are they junk you ask me?,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I say yes,,.............,motors have to come out ,, from the oil pan to the glow plug, either that or new blocs,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I been wrong before,,but hey what can i do ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,not do that,,!
,,he is documenting it for me, for yanmar,, ultimately if necessary (for the master who mediates between the party's,) I know what i did ,,,and those powertrains were babied,,,everything i read Is bullshivicky,,, the adjustments didnt amount to nuttin ,,they were not that far out of spec after 1250 hours to begin with
intake ranges are .017 to .023.with the sweet spot at .020.and exhausts are ,047 to .053 sweet spot at .050....i had a couple intakes a little tight and a coulple exhausts at .058..nothin to get wet about ,,,,... now! everything right to the spec runnin smooth like it allways has it is a manufacturing problem design or Valve assembly metalurgy problem or something else .....NOBODY IS SAYING...( and not somebodys neglect,,,)
,its the tickin ,,,thats got me ,,,like a bomb waiting to go off ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i wont let it
