Mid water trawlers in gulf of maine

Post by Ric »

As of May 31 -07 all mid water trawlers were precluded from continued fishing for herring in the gulf of Maine until i believe oct 1-07 The results of this closure of mid water trawlers raping the herring schools in the gulf of maine is amazing to say the least. Troll fish including gianta have been taken 18 miles from the beach the curl, first island, old scantum is alive with bait and birds and whales and no one can remember the fishing this good, this close,. and this early in the season . It is without a doubt the result of closing these trawlers out . reports from everyone includes storys of these caught tuna stuffed with herring,,it looks like the summer to remember,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I of course am at the dock not fishing , Boat is going to the yanmar dealer rep next week to pull the heads(on me) and for a look see at the top of the pistons to see if what i have been hearing (dreaded tick) is indeed there ,,I believe it is ,,,I wouldnt pull heads with the boat runnin 4,000 rpm and 30 knts if i didnt believe what i am hearing was metal on metal
Cudo's to U.V, and Ed C. for putting me on to boat diesel.com,,(best 25$ i ever spent),3 major forums(huge) on yanny 300 valve failures and it is a little more prevalent than "a few isolated instances" due to overpropping/underpropping and poor maintenance records. It's world wide and its real,,,,,,My fellow webpage members who are of the same bloodline ie: 1996 to 2002 you know who you are. I've spoken to many people from all over who have experienced this problem some without the telltale ticking coming off of plane and no advanced warning prior to the failure,, I believe i am fortunate, I know what i'm hearing and am williong to take the financial risk,,,,,,,,,dealer says " rick if we pull that head and see what you say we will see its on Yanmar ,,,if we pull the heads and see your wet dream its on you!!!!,I told him .,.,.when do we start!

Ric,
Where you been?
We've been covering valve issues with the 6LP for years when I first reported on the problem.

Ric,
Hey livin large has its price. One in a while you have to touch down, check in before the next adventure begins.

All right now, here we go ...
Now we're gonna tell you a little story
About the way we like to party - take ya on a trip!
HIT IT!
That's right
I'm goin' way down south where the big blue agave grow,
Takin' a weekend trip down to Baja, Mexico!
Where you can drink the water, but don't ya eat the ice,
Take your vitamin "T" with salt 'n lemon slice ...
I say,
One shot...Hey! Mas Tequila-
Two shots...Hey! que veneno-
Three shots...Arriba! Mas Tequila!
Hey! Hey!
She did a mean macarena to the funky cold medina
Behind a body shot and three margaritas.
She'll drink it straight from the bottle, terra cotta jug,
From a boda bag coppin' a major buzz.
I say,
One shot...Hey! Mas Tequila-
Two shots...Hey! que veneno-
Three shots...Arriba! Mas Tequila!
Hey! Hey!
Uno mas, bartender...one more...mas tequila!
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!
Yo can drink the water, but don't ya eat the ice;
Take your vitamin "T" with salt 'n lemon slice!
I say,
One shot...Hey! Mas Tequila-
Two shots...Hey! que veneno-
Three shots...Arriba! Mas Tequila!
Hey! Hey!
One shot...Hey! more tequila!
Two shots...Hey! que veneno!
Three shots...Ay yi yi yi yi ...
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
Mas Tequila!
No mas, no mas ....

I'm not sure but indecision may or may not be my problem.
