sunglasses

Post by swsimm »

Here's a question for everybody.

My kids were horsing around on the boat while we were anchored and a couple of items, including my sunglasses, ended up overboard and are now at the bottom of the bay.

I need to replace the sunglasses. Who makes the best lenses for being on the water? Can I get them in perscription?

Thanks

I am partial to maui jims. Have costa's as well but the maui's have better polarization
I grew up to be the person my parent's warned me about.

polarized, what ever your optomitrist is buying/selling. with the fancy coating that is claimed to be scratch proof(criziana, or something) warrented if they scratch for replacement

Vuarnet Nautilux. They are available in prescription, I have had a number of pairs. Hold on to your hat price. But the worst part is sending money to the freeking french comunists! But they make a great sunglass.

Maui Jim Typhoons, definately! I've had mine for 7 years. I broke the temples skiing and they replaced the entire glasses for $8.50!! Clearest glasses I've ever worn, and comfortable. I wear contacts and these give complete coverage from wind.
