Tony,

This is probably an artist’s interpretation, an exaggerated one, after Linda Bach’s frightened description !

Otherwise, I cant think of who, in their right mind was waiting ready on another boat with his Kodak instamatic, or worse yet, with a huge Canon camera, close to the rocks in the background, the moment a crazy wave would roll with a B42 on its crest…
Almost a Disney movie still from “Scrooge and the pirates” of some sort!

Franc,

I remember years ago I saw on TV a documentary about the major lakes of northern Italy, that was focusing on those mad guys who were parapenting or flying down the slopes towards the lakes; I think it was lago maggiore o di como, anyway, along the narration they stoped at one of those beautiful villas on the lake shore where they opened one floating boat garage that held numerous Riva boats. Someone there had a collection of old wooden Rivas and just opened his floating garage door and shared with the TV crew the boats’ history, the advantages of each model, which one they used to go shopping, what other one for pic-nic etc. !
Great stories with exquisite boats and….very very very rich people!
