Anyone know the story behind this boat? Seems like it has been for sale for ever.

This boat was around the Houston/Galveston area for a long time. I don't know if it is still here. A couple of years ago, when Timmy and Mike O were visiting me in Galveston we crawled over it. One story is that the superstructure burned and was then converted to the center console you see here, but I don't know if that is true. I have never seen it in the water, just on the trailer at various boat yards. The motor boxes look like they came from a Bahia Mar, but the deck structure is that of a SF or FBC. It is a gas powered boat. It has a large spray rail added to the chine, similar to what they used to do to the old 53 Hatts.

This one has been on sale for quite some time now. I remember seeing it over a year ago if I remember right. Then I believe it was priced near $100k. Now they are asking $49k.

Must be a real pain in the ass walking around those engine boxes!!

Why do that to a B31?

I think this could have been a nice layout if the console had been placed forward of the engine boxes. The way it is the console is right in the cockpit which takes away a good bit of fishing space. The console so far back also makes the boat look a bit tail heavy.

or build it into the starboard engine box so you could walk between the engines!! It is useless as it is set up.

Yank the inboards, add a Venture or Yellowfin console and top, yank the back tank and do baitwells and ice boxes there, drop in wing tanks. 3 BIG outboards on a Armstrong bracket and run the crap out of it in the Kingfish tournaments.
Teach Fountain and Contender a few things about the past.
Oh yeah don't forget the wide load permits to get it from place to place with the big fat trailer. And when it finally sinks cause the transom fell off it just laugh and get another one.
Cause stupid boats deserve stupid ideas.

The one at Port Eads was something like that. Twin Outboards, huge fishbox/well where the fuel tank was. Fuel tanks where the inboards were. Big flat cockpit with the console midships. The boat was fast, caught fish, but I am sure fairly wet. Walter
