It was not a 31 Bertram it was an aqua sport our town is mourning the loss a local boater,god bless the family

From the looks of the video he was having trouble finding the inlet. Or was trying to figure out where the waves were breaking.

It looks like he was trying to come in on an angle from the south and caught a breaker broadside before he could square up in the inlet.

Must have been coming home from offshore, but the question is with the weather reports and sea predictions why was he offshore. Even the commercial boats and charters didn't go out.

This is a tough loss. The father has to live with this the rest of his life.

Looks like they found the stern laying on the bottom, the rest of the boat was broken into pieces. Some of them washed up on the beach in Seaside.

What a shame. They still haven't found the son.
