Engine Raw Water Scoop/Strainer

Post by GaryG »

I am currently using the original Bertram engine raw water scoop/strainer on my B38 - I do not have separate strainers in the engine room. The only real issue I have with them is that they I have to remove them to inspect / clean their interior (usually when the bottom gets painted).

I recall that Capt. Patrick and/or Bruce had a preferred scoop/strainer, but I don't recall the brand.

Anyone recall the brand/model or is there something else ?
