No head?
The windlass is trick. I should have done that to my boat.

I know it's pricey---but seeing what you get on the new boat market---not outrageous.

I am not going to say that my project is even anywhere near the same level of construction and finish as that boat.
I will be into my project for <50k with 1/2 of that cost a new suzuki 300 motor, the rest is mainly parts and building materials not a lot of services in that cost. I am sure if I took the time to figure how much labor I put into her and then put a price tag on my labor, I would first cry, but it would at least double my expenses for my rig if not more. The other part of the DIY is opportunity cost, I have been without a boat for a few years, that lost time is worth a whole lot.
Add all that up and I am at >150k and purchasing a finished boat starts to look appealing. My price is at my level of finish and to get to a Cam level or that rig listed would need me to engage professionals and cost dramatically more. I unfortunately don't have the finances to buy finished outright and had to go the way that I did.
Everything is a balance but looking back it is time vs $$, I am getting to a point in my life that I have a little bit more $ than time and posts like this make me think a bit.

Agreed and well said KTM. I love to tackle a new project Bertram and I have some radical ideas that would love to try for a 31 Bertram. The only thing that stops me is time.
