I need to upgrade my mufflers for my new QSB 5.9 engines. I'd like to move them outboard as my current super large ones were in the bay behind the shaft.

What are the best mufflers and where is a good source to buy?

Centek makes an inline slim muffler, but the price will knock your socks off.

I almost would not care about the cost if there was actually something to them. At least the big arse Veretone mufflers are...well "BIG". I felt like I was buying "something of substance". Still, there is nothing to these things and the price still hurt...but those little guys at a quarter the size and twice the price for a fiberglass tube with end caps and baffles glued in place.

I used the 6” centeks. Not the fancy ones Tony posted. We couldn’t really find them In the typical spots Raybo would order from. If you are not in a rush you can order direct.

Standing around the shop I found a pair using a google search on my phone, I think it was fisherman supply, but it was just a random search to track them down.

They are pricey little devils. Thanks for the suggestions!
