Mike

What ever it is today, add 20% as the price of oil has not seen the top yet. Oh, and if the price of oil drops, don't expect to see the boat price go down.

It started at $890,000 if I remember correctly, but that was a couple of months ago so it's probably higher now. It's over a Million for sure once you add a life jacket.

Bertram was not at Miami this year, unfortunately. i was hoping to see that boat. "see", not "buy"!!! :-D

This is how I go around the Boat Shows…

Hmm, knock a zero off the price and I am still not the least bit interested.

Move onto the next…

Obviously I am not their demographics

I want to say pretty, nice and stuff…but in all honesty….not a boat for me.

Some Crazy prices for boats today, but people are buying them. Doesn't make dumping money into our little boats that out of line.

I don’t worry about what others spend…I just know I can’t and if I could I do not think that is where I would spend it.

But it their money and if that’s what makes them happy, good for them.

This was my first visit to Miami and the boat show. Overwhelming to say the least. The show was like a feeding frenzy....lots of cash changing hands. Read an article from the show that said Midnight Express sold 8 of their 6, 450R-equippped day runners over the first two days. Over $2M each. I couldn't afford the beer!!

I've been "looking" at coastal cruisers for another boat. Something that the wife and I can do long weekends on comfortably. Back Cove is really attractive, but pricing is very high and they and Sabre are on a 2 year wait list for new production, so the used market is ridiculous. Saw a Regal 36XO at the show that was really nice...twin 425 O/Bs...sold the first day of the show for $700k. Not really interested in a high speed planning boat. Single diesel that can cruise at 20 knots and has a reasonable draft would be perfect, and more economical to run. Gas prices at my marina are 4.89, diesel is just under 4....and will likely go up all year. Thanks, Joe!

When you look at the prices of new boats, a fully restored B31 for $300k is an absolute bargain.

Let's see what happens with these boats once the price of oil jumps higher after today. We important a lot of oil from Russia. I believe close to 10 million barrels a day. UGH!
