Flybridge cracks

Hey guys,

Quick question.

I have developed some pretty good sized cracks up at the top of the pilasters where the form of the boat transitions to the wing over the door into the cabin. It is right along the metal trim strip above the removable section.

Anyone have similar cracks?

Patrick or any of the guys who have done major surgery to this area, what would be the cause and the remedy? I have to believe that there is flex here, but I am not sure why...

Any help?

Thanks,

Dug

Dug-

My '69 B31 has similar cracks. Yours is a '69 also, right?

John,

Yes it is.

I started to see them become more pronounced after the repower.

I am a bit nervous...but only because I don't like cracks!

Phil,

Your name came up in conversation with the Capt and Crew of the Outlaw, a 65 Viking at Venice Marina to fish the Canjun Canyons. B31s came up in conversation and they mentioned you and your boat. They were very complimentary on your restoration and repower. I have to agree having seen the pics you posted. Nice Guys.
