Looking for a B31 Sedan (Hardtop)

Post by sillverchevy »

Guys, one of my hardest days...This morning I completed the sale of My B31 FBC, SuperNova. I would like to say thank you to all the wonderful people on this forum, who have offered advice and guided me on the journey with Super Nova. You have all been so helpful and supportive; a truly wonderful group of people you are. I was hoping I could call upon you all to help in the search for my next boat... I am looking for a Bertram 31 Sedan. I know these are hard to find, but I am highly optimistic. I loved my Flybridge, and how she has turned out...but for myself and my family needs,, a Sedan fits the bill. If you know of any, or are selling one yourself, please let me know. I am in no rush. Thank you guys well in advance.
Best,
Ron Restivo

Thanks Micky,
I saw that, and have been speaking with the owner. I love the boat, but hesitant about:
1) Location...Mallorca, Spain
2) Electrical...12v boat, also 220..
3) Power...Mitsubishi diesel...not familiar...not sure i want to be, either.
Anyone have any info on mitsubishi marine diesels (broad question, I know...not sure engine model or props...

I can't speak to the Mit marine diesels but the ones that I have in a bunch of equipment are rock solid.

Ron,

Are you aware of the transportation/insurance/cradle/paperwork to move a boat from Spain to the US?
Let alone the 220 to 110 etc. certifications etc...

The Mitsus comes much after that.

Good luck.

Yannis, I have been looking at the numbers. Agreed, this boat with transport, certificates and electric conversion etc will be out of my budget. And then I get to worry about the Mitsubishis... Nice boat but too much. Hopefully someone knows of one for sale, and one comes much much closer.
