I have heard of Fluke and never really knew what a Fluke looked like......In the south we call those fish Flounder...........Looks the same, I assume that its the same fish.

I have vacationed in Maine and I always look forward to eating Haddock but do not have a clue what they look like............guess if I really thought about it I could look find a picture on the net.

I found a spot while scube diving in the Gulf of Mexico (Concrete bridge rubble) that seems to be a haven for Flounder. We spear them but I have never speared Flounder as big as the ones that you shot Randall........Great Pics........Thanks

The Southern flounder in Texas have teeth alright - fangs like a wolf! The same if not very similar fish. Ours probably don't make 22#, but they do top at least 13.

I love flounder, very small internal cavity, not much to have to throw away and easy to clean. Made for comsumption, just like those big blue crabs with the pop-top opener on their belly.
